“The inspiration behind this collection was truly born out of a desire to connect. Coming from the vibrance of big city life to small town New Zealand so far south in the world felt isolating. 

An old soul at heart, I love the basics of writing and handwritten notes, thriving in person, so learning how to embrace technology was and still is a transition. I delved into exploring various types of communication and how these have changed over time as a way to help consolidate my apprehension of social media. 

The common thread being the linear, from lines on walls to wires in our computers. They are the lines that connect and intertwine us as people. The silhouettes, simple and sculptural, ranging from various layered three dimensional lines that repeat and flat interconnecting lines. The collection focuses on two colourways symbolic of paper and graphite pencil. This collection is a celebration of folk art and craft, inspired by patchwork, elevated appliqué and surface quilting.”
